Back to School is always a busy time for parents as it adds more things to do to parents’ already full schedule. One of the most time-consuming tasks is scheduling appointments for school physicals. If your child is going to be playing any sports Florida also requires they have a sports physical.
If you are like me then you wonder “What is the Difference?” A School Physical focuses on the child’s overall health – mental and physical health whereas a Sports Physical focuses specifically on physical health. Sports Physicals may require an EKG to make sure the child/teen doesn’t have any undiagnosed heart issues. We’ve all seen stories of kids and teens having heart issues while playing or practicing – that is what we aim to avoid by having a sport physical.
