This month’s Meet a Mom is Irielyn “Iris” Perez owner of Perezidential Family Group. Iris’ passion is helping others realize their dreams of becoming successful business owners. We spoke to Iris about her business, what she does and learn a little more about her.
What is your name and what is your company’s name?
Irielyn “Iris” Perez owner of Perezidential Family Group
How did you pick your business name?
Funny that you ask about our name, my last name is Perez and hubby is Law Enforcement and love everything military/police, so we came up with PEREZidential.
Where do you work/ What business do you own?
My office right now is located in downtown Winter Haven at The Lodge, but I am currently looking at my own location. Perezidential Family Group and currently opening a new Nonprofit soon, very excited about this.
What is your job?
We help people follow their dreams! If you want to open a company we walk you through that process, if you have a business and need help launching a project, we help you do that, and if you need help creating a brand, we can also help you do that. I say that we help small businesses grow to their fullest potential.
Why did you decide to pursue this career?
When the pandemic hit like many of us I found myself needing to work from home and think outside the box. I decided to take the experiences I had from corporate America and apply it to my own company and help the people that need it the most. May goal was to help single moms, minorities, and others struggling to open a business.
What’s the best thing about your job?
I love seeing my clients grow! I love to see the positive impact that we have on people’s lives. For me, this is the most rewarding feeling ever.
How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
I have 3 of my own, a bonus daughter, and a granddaughter. (21, 20, 14, 7, 1)
How do you juggle work with mommyhood?
This is a task I think most of us struggle with! However, I think we make it happen for me most days I don’t even know how I do it, but I do! My planner really is a good tool I am learning to be more organized which is the only way not to lose your head!
What’s your favorite restaurant and/or place to shop in Polk County?
I have so many amazing friends/clients and love to support them all. My two very favorite places to eat are Maria Petite Food Boutique and Kairos Nutrition. Shopping I have to say is Miaella Marie Boutique.
What’s your favorite thing to do with your family?
My family and I love to ride bikes and eat! We have found some amazing trails here locally.
What do you love about living in Polk County?
I really love to see the growth in this town. We moved here over 20 years ago and it blows my mind to see the growth of not only the town but my friends and family.
What’s the best advice you have received?
My dad always said if you don’t know what to say do not say anything at all. In today’s society this advice is so important so many people are fighting silent battles and we should all learn to be compassionate and kind.
