Experience the cherished tradition of the pumpkin patch at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Winter Haven, where generations of visitors have formed lasting memories. While many are familiar with this beloved community event, few are aware of the incredible journey these pumpkins undertake or the positive impact of supporting St. John’s United Methodist Church (SJUMC).

The story begins on a picturesque farm located on the Navajo Reservation in Farmington, NM. It is here that the pumpkins are lovingly nurtured by a dedicated team of Native American workers. This farm creates valuable employment opportunities, offering 25 full-time jobs and 550 seasonal positions to Native Americans. Additionally, the farm takes pride in its commitment to using only documented labor, ensuring transparency and ethical practices.

These pumpkins boast an additional benefit – they are non-GMO. This means that they have been cultivated following traditional farming methods without any genetic modification. After 100 days of careful cultivation, these vibrant pumpkins are handpicked, loaded onto trucks, and transported to SJUMC in Winter Haven, FL. Here, they find their place in the charming pumpkin patch, and every purchase directly contributes to funding SJUMC Real Life Youth Ministry mission trips.

So, as you explore the pumpkin patch, remember that each pumpkin has already embarked on a remarkable journey, spreading positivity every step of the way. By choosing to visit the pumpkin patch at St. John’s United Methodist Church, you not only celebrate tradition but also become a partner in supporting local communities, embracing sustainability, and fostering a genuine connection with nature.

Welcome to a world where pumpkins transcend their humble origins and become ambassadors of unity, purpose, and growth.
