Traditional Puerto Rican Coquito Recipe: Creamy, Cinnamon-Spiced Holiday Drink - Polk County Moms

Add a festive twist to your gatherings with this holiday drink recipe for Coquito, a traditional Puerto Rican favorite.

Coquito, a beloved traditional Puerto Rican holiday drink, is known for its creamy texture and rich cinnamon flavor. This festive beverage can be customized in many ways, including versions with eggs, pistachios, guava, and more. The recipe I grew up with uses Cream of Coconut instead of eggs, creating a lusciously smooth and flavorful drink that’s perfect for the holidays.

It is the perfect holiday drink and this recipe is more than enough to share

  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 1 can creme of coconut
  • 2 can evaporated milk
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla
  • 1.5 cups of white rum
  • cinnamon sticks

Mix all ingredients in a blender or stir in a pitcher. Let sit in the fridge for a day. If you save it in a jar, just shake it up a few times to let the flavors blend. Keep in the refrigerator. To serve pour and sprinkle some cinnamon on top.

NOTE: This is a STRONG drink. It is meant to be a sipping drink. Serving Size is 6 oz.
